Get Ready for Baking Season

It’s time to think about cookies and making baking. Those that are prolific in baking are already on it - ordering Pernigotti Cocoa in droves. That’s our clue - when we can’t keep cocoa of any kind in stock - then we know the flour is flying and baking is in full swing.

It is time to order all those ingredients you might just need to bake a cake, make a batch of cookies, or start a sweet (or savory) tart. Make sure you have it in hand so you don’t have to run out for a drop of vanilla or a seed of a pod. Better to have your cinnamon to grind than to dust off that jar you’ve had for ages.

Remember, every element you put into your cookie can mean the difference between the perfect crunch and the perfect munch. Those subtle taste differences could make your cookies the perfect lunch. It is the holidays after all and you deserve a sweet break today.

Baking Season Must-Haves

Good maple syrup is good - there is nothing quite like it. If you live in Vermont (or any maple syrup state) buy it from the locals. You will be shocked by the difference! An excellent sweetener for all your baked goods!

Superfine Cane Sugar
Superfine, or castor, sugar is the workhorse of professional Pastry Chefs because it dissolves so easily in batters and doughs, leaving them very smooth.

Dark Muscovado Sugar
For flavor that excels. So much better than regular brown sugar. Dark and luscious.
