Sweet Washington Cherries 2015 We got the call!
The Cherries are weeks early!!

A short winter and a very early spring have inspired the cherry trees to blossom early. And because the temperatures continue to rise, the cherries are continuing to grow towards an early harvest.

Every year people ask us which is our favorite and every year the answer is different.

We find though that when each varietyarrives to be packed, we love it the most.

But, if we were to pick two and only two, it would the Early Robins and the Lapins. Both have been stellar over the last couple of years. Large, crisp, juicy, and just about perfect.

The Best Wonderful Munch

I am pretty sure that from the first day to today, Effie's Cakes have only gotten better.

To be sure, I loved them from the very first bite. And I look forward to when I open a package or steal a piece from the sample bag. It's the combination of how they taste and how they make you feel that creates this wonderful munch. Effie's Homemade has it figured out.

When you take a bite, it crumbles, it crunches, it cracks into pieces in your mouth with flavor that is delightful. These oatcakes are like a great reminder of "digestives" from England, or like a skinny shortbread. These cakes have a sweetness so the combination makes a wonderful tactile feel that is just as important as the flavor.

Sometimes memory of certain foods is never forgotten. It’s very hard to achieve. It means distinctive, original and none other just like it. Effie’s has achieved this. In a world of many “crackers” and “biscuits” this is an accomplishment!

Summer is here!
Time to break out the best Sundae!

Summer seems to have arrived early with out-of-character hot weather. Even here in the Northwest we are expecting 80 degree’ish temperatures this weekend! With the sun setting to the West @ 122.36° at 8:33 PM.

As complete darkness won’t arrive for another hour, it’s the perfect time to break out Bergamot Olive Oil, Maldon Sea Salt, and deep dark rich Chocolate ice cream. (Sam’s Sundae)

Doesn’t sound right? Don’t doubt it until you try it! It is the mix of two perfect fats that are enhanced with the crunch of flaky salt.

There's something about the Bergamot that makes this eye closing treat very special!
